Sternum MRI

Sternum MRI for degenerative and inflammatory conditions, trauma, neoplasms, and metastases. Sagittal plane aligned parallel to the body of the sternum with coverage from the sternoclavicular joints to the xiphoid process. T2 FS or STIR may be used for the fluid-sensitive sequences in the coronal and axial planes. Routinely performed without contrast.

For protocol planning and internal reference only. Follow institutional MRI safety screening, contrast, dosage, and GFR policies.
